Astha Chamma is a tale of a hard working responsible woman and her friend, when Jyothi the responsible girl was actually daughter of a very rich person but she was missing at the age of one. A poor family adopt her and eventually she became the only earning member of that family her friend Swapna came to know about her best friends real identity.But she entered into the reach family of Jyothi as their missing child. Later Jyothi also came to know about her own identity.This daily soap telecasts in Maa TV at 8 PM onwards from Monday to Friday. This serial is starring by Suhashini, Chinna, Kalyan Prasad and many more.Recently Astha Chamma had completed its 300 episode.

MAA Television Network was founded in 2001 as a corporate entity, while its main TV channel, MAA TV, was launched in 2002. The company's second channel, MAA Music, was launched in 2008.
In February 2015, Star India acquired MAA Television Network for ₹2,500 crore (US$360 million).[5][6]
In 2017, Maa TV was rebranded as Star Maa with a new logo.[7]
In June 2017, Star Maa rebranded its graphical package.[8]
